Our beaches are uncrowded and most require no permit to hold your wedding ceremony on the beach. You’ll find people on the southern coast of North Carolina to be friendly and genuinely interested in making your wedding day perfect.

Accommodations are plentiful and varied. Some of our beaches offer resort-style hotels with every amenity.  Others have everything from quaint beach cottages to outstanding mansion on the beach. The southern beaches of North Carolina offer a “destination wedding” that is affordable for both the wedding couple and their guest. Brunswick county beaches are less than a day’s drive from most locations on the eastern coast of the US. If your family is really spread out, choose flights out of two international airports – Myrtle Beach, SC (MYR) or Wilmington, NC (ILM)–  no more than an hours drive in either direction.

Planning a beach wedding is much like planning a church wedding. You need to line up the location, the minister, the photographer, a caterer or a place for your reception. You may want to hire a professional to do your hair. You need to create your ceremony, design your invitation and decide on your guest list.
